Much of the team’s successful work ethic and drive can be attributed to team Principal Bobby Regan. Regan originally comes from a football background and understands the value of proper training, being prepared and how to make adjustments as needed when the game calls for it. As an entrepreneur from Mississippi whose successful business endeavors have included owning a bank and now owning and operating a multi-line auto dealership, Regan has proven himself both on and off the track. Regan’s management and business experience helps make Star Racing one of the most organized and trained teams in the paddock.

Brad Hoffman

Team Responsibilities: Oversees all mx bike development and racing.

Training: worked in Canada on a wrenching team and went to a Canadian technical school.

Background: worked on the Canadian circuit and on Riverside Yamaha mechanic for Greg Schenell.

History: Rode amateurs and always worked on his own bike, saw that he had more potential as a mechanic than rider.

Karl Gunderson

"Gunzy" – Engine Development and Research

Team Responsibilities: Assemble all race and practice bike engines. Conduct research and execute development to improve bike engine

Training: Worked for Aprilia Road Race Team fro 3 yrs and Motoworld Racing for 2 yrs.

Hobbies: Snowboard, wakeboard, ride dirt bikes, hand out with buddies and root for the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots

Background: Raced amateur since 1984

Interesting Fact: Grew up on a Dairy Farm. Has 5 dogs; Cream, Mabel, Diesel, Tug and Ivan.

Ricky Jurado

Team Responsibilities: EVERYTHING; baby sit the crew, cook meals, keep rig clean, stock parts, keep everything looking good

Hobbies: Ride dirt bikes, loves desert riding, fishing, hunting, boating/sailing

Background: Worked for Southwest Freight Lines as a driver, son rides as an intermediate pro.

Interesting Fact: Makes a killer bowl of guacamole, loves his family, 3 time rodeo champion. Son rode for Mexico at 2007 MX Des Nations in Budds Creek.
